In 1979, the fire Mutuals of Saint-Zéphirin-de-Courval, Saint-Antoine de la Baie-du-Febvre, Saint-François-du-Lac and Saint-Guillaume took the decision to merge together to form one sole Mutual. In so doing, the Mutuals wanted all of the insured members to benefit from a more financially solid organisation as well as one with a broader mandate and complementary services.

The Mutual's territory was once again extended in the year 2000. A sound organisation, with even more resources and capital : the principal advantages of the extending of the territory on both shores of Lac Saint-Pierre. This exploit would contribute to the Mutual's harmonious development, by allowing its members to take advantage of new outlets.
